Temperature Control

Built in the UK

The Smart Cellar control system allows breweries to precisely control, monitor, and log the temperature of each fermentation or conditioning tank. Brewers can remotely view tank temperatures, with automated text or email alerts notifying them of potential issues—such as a chiller fault—before they become critical.

The intuitive touchscreen interface provides full control over temperature settings and supports additional inputs, such as pressure monitoring. It also allows for the integration of “fast carb” and “fast pack” systems, ensuring efficient carbonation and packaging processes.

A controlled chill function lets brewers dictate the rate of cooling, preventing thermal shock and keeping yeast healthy—particularly important for lager brewing, where a gradual temperature drop ensures yeast can properly reabsorb diacetyl.

Key Features:

  • Precise temperature control for fermentation and conditioning
  • Chill rate control to regulate maximum temperature drop over time
  • Integration with most chillers via remote start/stop functionality
  • Chiller fault detection, triggering email or text alerts
  • Optional pressure monitoring for fermentation tracking
  • Integration with carbonation and packaging systems
  • Remote access via computer or phone
  • On-screen temperature trending graphs for real-time insights
  • Raw data export for process tracking and analysis

System Components:

  • Panel isolator
  • HMI (Human-Machine Interface)
  • PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)
  • Relays & fused outputs
  • RTD temperature sensors
  • Analog glycol pressure inputs

This UK-built system is designed to give brewers complete control over their cellar environment, optimizing fermentation conditions and ensuring consistent, high-quality beer production.
